Request a quote

Tell us where you are in the Republic of Ireland, what you need, and the property type. We pass your details to one permit-holding contractor and they reply directly. Reply times depend on contractor availability. Free for you.

  • Permit-verified. We only forward enquiries to contractors with a valid HSA permit for the work.
  • One contractor, not a list. Your enquiry goes to one matched firm — no bidding war, no five phone calls.
  • Your details aren't sold. No marketing, no follow-up, no list. Decline the quote and your enquiry is closed.
  • Honest about timing. Specialist supply in Ireland is limited (3 ARCA-registered firms in the Republic) — reply times depend on availability.

Republic of Ireland only. For an urgent on-site exposure incident, contact the HSA directly.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need. County, property type, and what you suspect or need surveyed or removed.
  2. We pass you to a permit-holding contractor. One firm at a time — chosen by location, work type and current capacity — not a list of competing quotes.
  3. The contractor replies directly. Reply times depend on contractor availability. There is a small number of permit-holding firms in Ireland and they are often booked up.
  4. You decide. If the quote works, you proceed. If not, your enquiry is closed and not recirculated.

Known Irish contractors

The following firms are publicly listed as ARCA-registered or HSENI-licensed asbestos contractors operating on the island of Ireland (verified via the ARCA and HSENI directories, May 2026). This is not the complete contractor universe — many other Irish firms hold HSA permits and waste collection permits without ARCA membership.

Frequently asked questions

How does the matching work?

You send us your details — name, contact, county, what you need. We pass the enquiry to a contractor that holds a HSA permit for the type of work and that covers your county. The contractor replies to you directly with a quote or a request to visit. There is no fee for you. We may receive a referral fee from the contractor on jobs that proceed, so the contractor pays for the lead, not you. We pass your details to one matched contractor at a time, not a list of firms competing.

How quickly will I hear back?

It depends on contractor availability. There is a small number of permit-holding asbestos contractors in Ireland and they are often booked up. We do not promise a 24-hour reply because we cannot guarantee one. If you do not hear back within a few working days, contact us and we will follow up or pass to another contractor.

Why so few ARCA-registered contractors in the Republic?

ARCA registration is voluntary in Ireland — unlike in the UK, where HSE licensing is mandatory for certain asbestos work. Most Irish contractors operate without ARCA membership but with HSA permits and waste collection permits. ARCA registration is a recognised quality benchmark; beyond ARCA, several other Irish firms hold valid HSA permits and do compliant work. The new HSA permit system is gradually creating a de facto licensing regime.

Can a Northern Ireland contractor do the work in the Republic?

Yes, provided they comply with the regulations of the work site. A contractor based in Northern Ireland operating in the Republic must hold a valid HSA permit for the work, follow the Republic's asbestos regulations, and use a permitted waste collector for disposal. Cross-border movement of asbestos waste requires Transfrontier Shipment paperwork. Where Republic supply is constrained — particularly in border counties (Donegal, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, Sligo, Leitrim) — a Northern-Ireland-based contractor with the right Republic permits may be a practical option. The audience for this site is Republic of Ireland homeowners; NI contractors are a supply lever, not the audience.

What if I just want to know whether something is asbestos?

The only way to confirm whether a material contains asbestos is laboratory analysis of a sample taken under controlled conditions by a competent surveyor. Visual resemblance — by us, by you, or by anyone else — can flag a material as suspect but cannot confirm content. If you suspect a material, the right next step is a survey, not a removal quote. The suspect-materials guide covers what to look for in Irish buildings and when to escalate to a survey.

Will my details be sold or used for marketing?

No. Your details go to one matched contractor for the purpose of providing a quote. We do not sell contact lists, run marketing follow-up, or share your enquiry with multiple firms at once. If you choose not to proceed with the matched contractor, your enquiry is closed and not recirculated.
